Robert R. Rogers, D.M.D. Dr. Rogers has been in general practice since 1977 and joined St. Barnabas’ Department of Dental Medicine in 1997. He treats the dental needs of patients of all ages, from children to seniors. Dr. Rogers views courteous customer service as essential to patient care. More than a general practitioner of dentistry, Dr. Rogers is a renowned expert in the treatment of sleep-disordered breathing. He is the founding president of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and treats patients in conjunction with many Pittsburgh-area sleep centers. He a diplomat of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and is the recipient of its Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Rogers holds his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Pittsburgh and completed his residency at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh. His work is regularly published in journals on sleep disorders and he frequently speaks on sleep-disordered breathing at professional conferences. Dr. Rogers has also written several chapters in graduate dental textbooks and wrote and produced an educational slide series that is in use worldwide. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the American Society for Geriatric Dentistry, among others. |

Hassan Bakri, D.M.D., M.D.S. Dr. Bakri was previously in private practice in Pittsburgh, and also formerly associated with Dental Care Partners in Pittsburgh. He was an assistant professor of the Department of Prosthodontics at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Pittsburgh. He has a master’s degree in dental medicine from the University of Pittsburgh, where he completed a fellowship in implant prosthodontics in 1995. He received his D.M.D. from the University of Damascus, Syria. |

Mark E. Silberg, D.M.D. In 1980 Dr. Silberg joined the faculty of University of Pittsburgh Dental School as an Assistant Clinical Professor and began his practice of periodontics. He taught periodontics to the pedodontic residents at Children’s Hospital for 10 years. Dr. Silberg is the founder of the Discovery Study Club, which promotes continuing education and training for member dentists and their staffs. He lectures on implants and periodontics. |
