PRESENTS FOR PATIENTS®
Celebrating 28 Seasons

The 27th season of the PRESENTS FOR PATIENTS® campaign matched 27,482 residents at 322 long-term care facilities with a member of the community who personally delivered a gift.

Since its inception in 1984, PRESENTS FOR PATIENTS® has raised gifts and visits for more than 431,113 men and women in nursing and personal care homes in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, West Virginia and Tennessee. The program was founded by William V. Day, president of St. Barnabas Health System. Knowing that nursing homes and personal care homes can be lonely places, his goal is to put a smile on the face of a nursing home patient while introducing members of the community to their local long-term care facilities.

At the beginning of each campaign, patients are asked what they would like for Christmas. This information is then given to the individual(s) who “adopt” that patient. The patient will be greeted with a gift and friendly visit during the holiday season.

Nursing homes, assisted living facilities and personal care homes are sought to participate in the 28th season of PRESENTS FOR PATIENTS®. Participating facilities receive training on how the program operates and sign their residents up, ensuring that each one receives a Christmas gift.

To locate a PRESENTS FOR PATIENTS® training seminar in your area download the PRESENTS FOR PATIENTS® Facilities Training Pamphlet. The facility enrollment form is also available to download.

To make a donation, please call 724-444-5521 or complete the PRESENTS FOR PATIENTS® on-line form.
